Maia Watkins is an actress and spoken word poet from west London born to a father of Jamaican descent and a mother of Guyanese, Russian heritage. Maia is a third time winner of The Monologue Slam UK at the Theatre Royal in Stratford East, including the LA edition. Credits include 3 X Winner of The Monologue Slam UK (Theatre Royal Stratford East), Marley’s Ghost (ITV Gold), Eastenders (BBC) and a range of theatre productions and poetry performances around the world. Maia was also shortlisted for the Out-Spoken Prize for Poetry Awards 2023.
